The second week of our tour around Michigan was spend up at my family cottage in Boyne City. I have spent so much time here over my life that I want my kids to have the same fond memories. We met the C family - this makes everyone happy, we all have a playmate! We saw them in FL in March so it wasn't an awkward reintroduction for the kids. Legos make friends. We played outside, went for walks, threw rocks in the lake, hiked up the old ski slope & enjoyed using the grill. My favorite day of the week was when we spent the morning at Fisherman's Island State Park & then went to Short's for lunch (my second time in a week - yahoo!). Perfect weather, great park & an outstanding lunch. We enjoyed playing cards, going to the farmer's market, cooking & laughing. A lot of laughing. Our goodbye wasn't a sad one, we are heading to their house to celebrate J's birthday! See you soon.
