View from the trail to the car
|
My friend Kris has been talking about
Auermuehle ever since I met her. Today everything lined up for us -- we had a rental car, the sun was out & we didn't have anything else to do. So we jumped in the car, picked up Liz & within 20 minutes we were at the most perfect beer garden you could imagine! Trust me -- it was amazing! You drive through a neighborhood, park & walk down into a small valley. The views just walking toward the building are fabulous. The spot is very picturesque, set deep in the woods & surrounded by trails for hiking & biking. The building was once a corn mill & distillery in the mid-1800s. There is a huge patio with some covered tables, a playground, a creek, a sand volleyball area & some woods to explore & climb. We ordered off the grill - brats! A good beer selection & the other food that was going by looked really tasty. There is a cake area (forgot to take a picture) with the most amazing looking cakes. When we went up to order the woman asked where we were from in English. Turns out she is from Cincinatti, Ohio! We ate, drank & played frisbee. I would like to spend every sunny Sunday here!
